It wasn't only Taurn that was tired.... I was too. I was scheduled to have high speed fibre broadband installed this morning so it meant staying at home for a bit in the morning anyway. It was a good chance to take things slowly.
We went for a walk around the Panmure Lagoon. When you grow up by the sea the tides are something that become part of life but for a boy who grew up in Delhi they were a bit of a mystery. I hadn't realised till now, that when I talked about high tides and low tides in terms of timing a swim it meant nothing to Tarum.. When I tried to explain the role of the moon he firmly believed that it was pure superstition and was surprised that I believed it in. Various explanations from myself, Ainsley and Kate have sorted him out now.
I had to pick up one of my granddaughters from school and look after the three of them during the afternoon. It was a good chance for to cool off so Zoe and Tarun went for a swim.
BarBQ at Ainsley's for dinner. The girls came with us and Blair's parents were also there. Tarun had discovered marshmallows yesterday when they were put in his hot chocolate so we took the experience one step further and toasted them. I think he thought we were all crazy. He did tentative try one but definitely wasn't at all impressed.
Early to bed as we were in for an early start and a long day in the morning.
