First of all it was a few days out in Piha with Kevin and Wendy. Kevin just happens to be a tour guide so was lucky enough to be able to accompany him on a couple of his tours. The first was to Hobbiton to see the movie set. Thousand of visitors make special trips to NZ to see this, but much of it may have been wasted on Tarun as he's never seen the movies. Nevertheless, it looks like he enjoyed himself.
He also got the chance to accompany Kevin on another day tour round the beaches and bush of West Auckland.
It was goodbye to Kevin and Wendy and then off up north to Keri Keri with his Czech friends for a couple of days. The weather Gods are still favouring Tarun and despite the fact it was the end of April he was still able to snorkel, swim and jump into waterfalls.
On his return to Auckland Tarun had a couple of 'rest' days mowing lawns, helping me with some childminding and generally catching up with things before our week in Taupo.
